Rooms
All of our rooms come with a unique theme that showcases an element of the Inn at the Lake & the surrounding areas. Every room now has new linens, luxury vinyl flooring, new vanities and toilets, and a minifrig. We now offer one handicap accessible room (104). There are adirondack chairs outside of each room for soaking in the spectacular views of the lake and surrounding San Juans. Check out the different room styles below.
Whitelock Room 101
Room 101 is dedicated to the previous owners, David & Rosie Whitelock. This is a cozy standard king room that has been renovated. It is on the first floor with a microwave & refrigerator.
$180 per night for 1 or 2 persons; Price includes breakfast.
American Basin Room 102
Room 102 is dedicated to the American Basin. The American Basin is located in the Gunnison National Forest, a high alpine basin at an elevation of 12,365 feet surrounded by vertical cliffs. During summer months, there are spectacular displays of wildflowers. This room is located on the first floor and has a queen bed and twin bunk beds. It was updated with new luxury vinly flooring and a new vanity (not pictured) in 2021.

Lake San Cristobal Room 103
Room 103 is dedicated to the amazing lake that is our daily amazement, Lake San Cristobal. Every room has a view of this lake. This room has a queen and a twin day bed with a trundle on the first floor. It has all new linens, new vanity and new luxury vinyl flooring as of summer 2021.

North Clear Creek Falls Room 104
Room 104 is our newly renovated wheelchair accessible room, with a new slide-in shower, sink and toilet, and space for a wheelchair. We do not yet have photos of our renovation. The new room will only sleep 3 persons in a queen bed and a single twin bed. (this photo shows two queens...but that is NOT what the new room will be) This room is dedicated to North Clear Creek Falls which is a dramatic waterfall near Lake City. In its peak spring and summer season, this waterfall rages over the cliffside. This room is located on the first floor and includes a minifrig.

Deer Lakes Room 105
Room 105 is dedicated to a group of lakes called Deer Lakes close to Lake City, where most evenings you can catch sight of deer & moose around the lakes. This is a deluxe king room on the end of the first floor with a microwave, a refrigerator and premium views of the lake through an extra window on the end. We renovated this room winter of 23/24 with new luxury vinyl flooring. (new flooring not pictured yet)

Big Blue Fly Fishing Room 201
Room 201 is dedicated to inspiring fly fishing at Big Blue Creek near Lake City. Fishermen will find a variety of fish including rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and brook trout. This is a newly renovated standard king room on the second floor with new luxury vinyl flooring (not pictured) and a microwave & refrigerator.

Alpine Loop Room 202
Room 202 is dedicated to the Alpine Loop, which is a popular 4WD route winding through the high country over Cinnamon Pass, on to Animas Forks ghost mining town, then rising over spectacular Engineer Pass and back to Lake City. This 2nd floor room has two queen beds with new linens, new luxury vinyl flooring & vanity (not pictured), and is equipped with a mini-frig.

Handies Peak Room 203
Room 203 is dedicated to Handies Peak. Handies Peak is a high and prominent mountain summit of the San Juan range in the Rocky Mountains of North America standing at 14,048ft. This second floor room has a queen bed and twin bunk beds and new luxury vinyl flooring (not pictured)

The Colorado Trail Room 204
Room 204 is dedicated to The Colorado Trail, which is a premier backcountry (567 miles) trail that passes near Lake City, CO. This room has two queen beds and is on the second floor, and the views are spectacular

Uncompahgre Room 205
Room 205 is dedicated to Uncompahgre Peak (14,321-ft) which is the sixth highest summit of the Rocky Mountains of North America and the U.S. state of Colorado. Our most spacious room with the best views~two windows that overlook the lake. It is located at the end of the second floor and has a king bed, a microwave&minifrig and new luxury vinyl flooring (not pictured).
